Purpose/Overview:
This session is designed to provide an overview of the features and functionality of the NCEES Professional Development system of Home Base.

Description:
Participants will receive an overview of the NCEES Professional Development system and all the features, create Instructor-led and Self-paced courses, learn about Moodle formats, and manage resources and participant rosters.

Objectives:
  • Introduce the NCEES Professional Development system
  • Model how to create Self-paced and Instructor-led Non-Moodle courses and Self-paced and Instructor-led Moodle courses
  • Create Self-paced and Instructor-led Non-Moodle and Moodle courses
  • Manage resources
  • Manage participants, registration, grades, and credit

  • Describe the features and functionality of the NCEES PD system
  • Navigate through PD system to create courses, manage resources, and manage rosters
  • Explain how the PD system can assist with district professional development to improve teacher and student performance
